SWEDISH MEATBALLS.


Remember this post? I finally managed to actually make it happen!! Yeay for me!! I pick Swedish Meatballs and of course it loyal friend, Mashed Potatoes. Look at that first picture, so lovely and mouthwatering yes? And look at this second picture, its nothing like that kan huhuhuhu but the taste is not bad, its actually good, but it miss that gravy yang banjir and mashed potatoes yg kurang creamy due to kurang bahannnn Ahahahah so sadd. I got the recipe from pinterest (of course). So here's how to make this: 


SWEDISH MEATBALLS: 
For the meatballs you need: 
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 Onion (diced)
1 pound Ground Pork
1 pound Ground Beef (or 2 if you only use beef)
1/2 Panko / Japanese Bread Crumb
2 large Egg Yolks
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
 Salt&pepper to taste

For the Gravy, you need: 
1/4 cup of Unsalted Butter
1/3 cup of Allpurpose Flour
4 cups of Beef Broth
3/4 cups of sour cream (I use heavy cream instead of sour cream) 
Salt&pepper to taste
2 tbsp of chopped fresh parsley (opt)

How to? 
1. Heat 1 tbsp Olive Oil in large skillet over medium heat. 
2. Add Onion, and cook until it have become translucent for 2-3 minutes. 

3. In large bowl, combine ground beef&pork, panko, egg yolks, allspice, nutmeg, and cooked onion. 
4. Season it with salt&pepper. 
5. Stir it until well combined, then make meatballss. (This recipe can make to 24 meatballs)

6. Add the other 1 tbsp of Olive Oil to the skillet.
7. Add the meatballs and cook until browned about 4-5 minutes. 

8. To make the gravy, melt butter in the skillet. 
9. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute. 
10. Then, gradually whisk in the beef broth and cook and whisk until slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
11. Stir in sour cream/heavy cream.
12. Salt&pepper.

13. Stir in meatballs and cook, until heated through for 8-10 minutes. 
14. Serve immediately and garnish with parsley if desired.
